Ferkan YILMAZ, PhD is a researcher and tech-entrepreneur having more than 15-year experience in technology development. Since August, 2022, he is an associate professor at Istanbul Technical University. He has also engaged in “Tachyonic Solutions” research-based startup company. He is the (co-)author of more than 70 scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals and conferences. His publications have been cited more than 2700 as shown in Google Scholar. His research has been lying at the interface of mathematics, algorithms, statistics, information and communication sciences, with a special focus on the applications of complex special function theory and stochastic (random) processes to communication sciences. In the field of wireless communications, he is one of the pioneers of using Fox-H function and developing MGF-based approaches to achieve the performance analysis of wireless communications.
