Ferkan YILMAZ, PhD is a researcher and tech-entrepreneur having more than 15-year experience in technology development. Since November, 2015, he is an assistant professor at Yıldız Technical University. He has also engaged in “Alpharabius Solutions” and “Tachyonic Solutions” research-based startup companies. He is the (co-)author of more than 80 scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals and conferences. His publications have been cited more than 2180 as shown in Google Scholar. His research has been lying at the interface of mathematics, algorithms, statistics, information and communication sciences, with a special focus on the applications of complex special function theory and stochastic (random) processes to communication sciences. In the field of wireless communications, he is one of the pioneers of using Fox-H function and developing MGF-based approaches to achieve the performance analysis of wireless communications.
